Your cultures leave within 24 to 48 hours on working days and reach you in 3 to 6 working days anywhere in the UK. Standard tracked delivery costs £4.90, and nothing at all from £35. All prices include VAT.
Delivery times
We handle orders Monday to Friday, and your parcel leaves within 24 to 48 hours on working days. With standard tracked delivery it then reaches your door in 3 to 6 working days, anywhere in the United Kingdom, with Royal Mail handling the final leg. If you'd like it a little sooner, choose express tracked delivery: 3 to 5 working days. In your basket, each delivery method shows its expected time before you pay.
Bank holidays are not working days for the postal services. In England and Wales they are New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, the early May bank holiday, the spring bank holiday, the summer bank holiday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so a parcel on the road over a long weekend can take a day or two longer. Scotland and Northern Ireland have a few different bank holidays, and parcels may take a day longer around them. Around Christmas, order a little earlier than usual.

We deliver across the whole of the United Kingdom, at the same prices and in the same times. There are no collection points: every parcel comes to your home or to the address of your choice, such as your workplace. Remember your postcode when you fill in the address, it's what gets the parcel to the right door first time.
Delivery charges are shown in the basket and added to the total before you pay. Reaching £35 is easier than it sounds. The complete starter kit (£40) gets there on its own. The water kefir and kombucha set (£23) doesn't get there on its own, but the set together with the ginger beer plant does, and so do 60 g of water kefir grains with a kombucha SCOBY. Either way, standard tracked delivery is then on us.
Payment methods
You pay on a secure, encrypted payment page run by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your card or account details.

All prices are final prices in pounds sterling, VAT included. A discount code goes into the field on the payment page.
How the cultures travel
Water kefir grains, milk kefir grains, the kombucha SCOBY and the ginger beer plant travel alive in their own liquid, in well-sealed pouches made for the post. A few days on the road won't trouble them. Start them on the day they arrive, or keep them in the fridge in their pouch for two to three days.
Milk kefir grains travel in a little milk and are happiest in the fridge if you can't start them straight away. The bottle of liquid calf rennet is sealed and well wrapped; put it in the fridge as soon as it arrives.
Tracking your parcel
Both delivery methods are tracked. You receive the tracking number by e-mail as soon as your parcel is on its way, and you can follow it right up to your door. If you can't find the e-mail, check your spam folder or get in touch.
Parcel running late?
It's rare, but it happens. If delivery takes longer than stated, e-mail us with your name: we'll chase it with the carrier, and if a culture arrives without its usual vigour, we'll sort it out. That's what our satisfaction guarantee is for.
